A Short List of Short Lists
DOUBLE/TRIPPLE FEATURE LINE UPS FOR HOME-PROGRAMMING
I often have ideas for pairings or short programs that don’t fit the theme or the time allotted, or, fit so well as to be redundant. Or they are wonderful outliers that would alas lead the programming down an even slimmer rabbit hole.
Here are some good double and triple feature ideas I want to do, but can’t, so you should (all links free/ad free unless otherwise specified):
THEME: Vietnam and Feminism/Marxism and Prostitution/Godard and Fonda

THEME: Underrated 2024/Modern Classics
A lot of great films were released in 2024. And I watched an unhealthy amount of them. These were my two favorites, I would venture, also two of that years best. And both, incidentally, feature two criminally underappreciated performances by their leads (Mia Goth and Anya Taylor-Joy, respecrtively) as well as their villians (Kevin Bacon and Chris Hemsworth, respectively).
MaXXXine (2024, dir. Ti West)
Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga (2024, dir. George Miller)
And in that spirit and in the theme of March (ANDY WARHOL/EDIE SEDGEWICK, ARTIST/MUSE, VIEWER/SUBJECT
and POSTMODERNMINIMALIST/DIY SCIFI;
here is a link to a MOMA site with instructions for how to:
